$50,000 worth of cash grants are available for community projects around Tonga under the One Tonga Kiai initiative, and a Christmas grand prize of $30,000 is also up for grabs, announced Digicel Tonga today.
The One Tonga Kiai initiative aims to help individuals or groups implement projects to uplift local communities.
“We invite you to send in your ideas to address health, education, drug addition, domestic violence, youth empowerment, sustainable livelihoods, climate change, and more,” said Dicigel Tonga CEO Anthony Seuseu.
“We want to empower, support and help to positively impact the lives of others.”
The grant project also marks the company’s 13 years of operation in Tonga and its one year anniversary as a Digital Operator.
To apply for a grant, visit http://tongafirst.today/ [2] by December 31. Successful applicants will be announced in the second week of January 2022.
$30,000 for Christmas promo
Along with a grand prize of $30,000 pa’anga, Digicel Tonga is also giving away thousands of dollars in prizes including cash, smartphones, and a smart TV screen for Christmas.
“This year we celebrate the joy of giving in every home in Tonga,” said Mr Seuseu. “It’s also a time for more. More fun, more entertainment, more laughter, more everything and if our customers had one wish this Christmas, it would be for more too. So that’s exactly what we’re giving them this Christmas.”
The promotion ends on December 31.
