The repatriation flights from Australia and New Zealand planned to arrive in Tonga this month have been postponed due to COVID-19, MEIDECC confirmed today.
The flight from Australia was due to depart from Townsville on October 21.
The flight from New Zealand was due to depart Christchurch on October 20 but has been delayed by a week to ensure passengers are able to meet the necessary travel criteria before arriving in Tonga.
Meanwhile, nine passengers repatriated from Pago Pago and Apia last month are currently in quarantine at Taliai Military Camp.
