The judgments of appeal cases heard in the second and last session of this year's Court of Appeal in Tonga will be delivered on Friday, October 1.

The 11 appeals included:

  • HSH Prince Tungi & ors.
  • Fatafehi-v-Afeimo’unga & ors.
  • Taufahema-v-Taufahema
  • ’Atenisi Institute-v-TNQA

as well as appeals from the Attorney General and others.

The session held on September 20-23 was presided over by President Whitten sitting from Nuku'alofa. Justice Randerson, Justice Hansen and Justice White appeared via audio-visual link from abroad.

The first session of Tonga's Court of Appeal was held in March.
