Petrol station robber arrested [1]

A masked man who robbed a Tongatapu petrol station on September 7 has been arrested by Tonga Police.
The offender stole around $2,000 cash from a female attendant at the Luna'eva Petrol Station on Hihifo Road.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Tevita Vailea said today the accused from Te’ekiu was arrested a few days after the robbery.
He has been charged with robbery and stealing the vehicle that he was in on the night of the offence.
Police previously reported that the robbery occurred after 9:00pm. The offender arrived in a blue car at the petrol station posing to get a re-fill with his face covered up. The station attendant had her small bag of cash on her and he fled with it.
No one was hurt during the robbery.
