Human remains found at Puke unidentified [1]

The location of Puke village on Tongatapu.

Human remains of a man found in an area near the sea in the Puke area of Tongatapu, on August 19 have not been identified.

No one has come forward to claim the body and no one has been reported missing in the area.

Deputy Commissioner of Police Tevita Vailea said today they were still waiting on the doctor’s report to assist in their investigation.

“We have not received any missing report to date. However, Police is still working with town officers near the Puke area for any information,” he said.

Nothing suspicious that might indicate foul play was found by Police when locating the body.
