A repatriation flight with 152 passengers arrived in Tonga on July 28 from Auckland, New Zealand.
MEIDECC CEO Paula Ma’u said today the passengers are being quarantined at Tanoa Hotel for 21-days.
The flights that were planned to come from Brisbane, Pago Pago and Vanuatu have all been deferred to August 25, he said.
To date, more than 3,000 people have been repatriated to Tonga since the border restrictions were imposed in March last year.
Meanwhile, the Tongan Government continues to monitor the status of the increasing COVID-19 cases in Fiji with all flights deferred, until further notice.
