The 240 passengers who were repatriated to Tonga from New Zealand on June 30 have tested negative for COVID-19.
CEO for the Ministry of Health Dr Siale ‘Akau’ola confirmed today the negative results.
They were released from quarantine on July 20.
Since June, Tonga has required repatriated passengers to be tested three times: on arrival; once between days 12 to 14; and once on day 20 or 21; all must be negative before a passenger is released from quarantine.
