Over 10,758 have received second COVID-19 jab in Tonga [1]

To date, 72% of Tonga's front liners have received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Nuku'alofa, 20 July 2021

To date, over 10,758 people have received their second AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination on Tongatapu.

The Ministry of Health today said the daily vaccination average has steadily increased to 633 people per day

Over 72% of Tonga's front liners have received their second dose (1,412 out of the total 1,955 workers).

The Ministry also confirmed that there have been no extreme allergic reactions reported.

The vaccinations, which started on June 24 for the second dose, continue in the communities (see table below).

Previously, 28,667 people were inoculated with the first dose of the vaccination.
