Over 7,625 in Tonga get second vaccination dose [1]

To date over 7625 people in Tonga have received their second dose of the COVID-19 Astra-Zeneca vaccine, since the second vaccination roll out started on June 24 in Nuku'alofa.
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Health said today that the daily vaccination rate averages at 586 people.
No extreme allergic reactions have been reported since the start of the second dose vaccinations.
Meanwhile, the Ministry aims to inoculate up to 70 percent of Tonga's population by December this year.
For the rest of the population, the Ministry hoped to receive the rest of the vaccine supplies around August this year.
A total of 28,667 people in Tonga have received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
