Tonga's official Foreign Reserves fell by $9.8 million to $80.6 million in April, an amount equivalent to 4.1 months of imports of goods.

At the same time last year, 2006 Tonga's Foreign Reserves held by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga stood at $83.9 million, an amount equivalent to 4.2 months of imports of goods.

Tonga's Foreign Reserves during the first four months of the year in the past three years were very similar, all had enough Foreign Reserve for over four months of imports, excepting March last year when the Foreign Reserve was $77.4 million, enough for 3.9 months of imports.
