Over 5475 get second dose of Covid-19 vaccine [1]

A total of 5475 people in Tongatapu have received their second dose of the AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccination as of this afternoon, July 7.

The number was confirmed by the CEO of the Ministry of Health, Dr Siale 'Akau'ola.

The vaccinations which started on June 24 for the second dose continues.

Previously, 28,667 people were inoculated with the first dose of the vaccination.

The Ministry of Health is hoping to receive more COVID-19 vaccines for the remainder of the target (70%) population by early as August this year.
