Tonga's Common Utilities Board accepted the resignation of board member John Paul Chapman, effective from the end of June, the Prime Minister's Office announced yesterday.
He has been a member of the Utilities Board since January 2019.
The Utilities Board stated that the resignation was for personal reasons as he will travel to his family abroad.
“This has been accepted with no cause or allegations against him or vice versa, by any Utility Board, by the Tonga Power Ltd. Trustees or TPL Retirement Fund or by the Ministry of Public Enterprises,” the statement said, in thanking him for his services.
