Tongan repatriation flight arrives from NZ [1]

Passengers from Auckland arrive at Tanoa Hotel to start 21 days quarantine. Nuku'alofa, 2 June 2021.

A repatriation flight with 107 passengers arrived in Tonga today from Auckland, New Zealand.

Superintendent of Police, ‘Atunaisa Taumoepeau said this afternoon, the passengers are being quarantined at Tanoa Hotel and Makeke Camp in Vaini for 21-days.

Another repatriation flight is expected to arrive on June 3 from Brisbane, Australia.

Meanwhile, the Tongan Government is still monitoring the status of COVID-19 cases in Fiji and no date has been set on the repatriation flight from there.
