Repatriation flights planned for June 2 and 3 [1]

Repatriation flights from New Zealand and Australia are expected to arrive in Tonga on June 2 and 3 respectively, confirmed MEIDECC CEO Paula Ma’u on 26 May.

Another repatriation flight from Fiji is also planned, however the Ministry of Health has yet to confirm it.

Meanwhile, Tonga remains free of COVID-19 to date.

Globally, the World Health Organization reports there have been 168,040,871 confirmed COVID-19 cases, including 3,494,758 deaths, as at 27 May.
