Biden accepts credentials of Tonga’s Ambassador to US [1]

US President Joseph Biden welcomed Ambassador of Tonga to the United States of America, Viliami Va’inga Tone, as a member of the diplomatic corps in Washington, after accepting his Letter of Credence on April 20.
The credentials were not presented in person due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ambassador Tone conveyed messages of felicitations and best wishes from HM King Tupou VI for the president’s good health and the welfare and prosperity of the United States of America, and the desire to maintain the long-standing and cordial relations of the two countries.
