Murder accused due at Mu’a Magistrate’s Court [1]

The 27-year-old man charged with the murder of Polikalepo Kefu (41) is expected to appear on May 19, at the Magistrate’s Court in Mu’a.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Tevita Vailea said today that the accused remained in police custody. His name will not be released until he appears at the lower court.
Police reported that the victim's body was found on a beach in Lapaha on eastern Tongatapu on Saturday morning, May 1. The accused who was living in Halaleva (originally from Fungamisi, Vava'u) surrendered himself to Police on Saturday night.
