242 repatriates from NZ arrive [1]

A repatriation flight with 242 passengers arrived in Tonga this afternoon from Auckland, New Zealand, confirmed MEIDECC CEO Paula Ma'u.
Passengers will be quarantined at the Tanoa Hotel and Makeke Camp for 21 days where they will be tested for COVID-19 after arriving, and again on their last day of quarantine.
Another flight, serviced by Talofa Airways, is expected to arrive tomorrow from Pago Pago, American Samoa with three people. The flight is chartered by the American Samoan Government and will return to pago Pago with eight people from Tonga.
Further repatriation flights are planned for the first week of June from Australia and Fiji.
