Boy charged in Kolomotu’a shooting death [1]

A 12-year-old boy has been charged with manslaughter by negligence over the death of an 18-year-old, in an alleged firearms incident on Saturday night, 17 April at Kolomotu'a.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Tevita Vailea said the accused was released on bail today, after being charged.
He is expected to appear at the Fasi Magistrate’s Court on Monday, April 26.
It is alleged that this shooting incident occurred at a residence, where the victim died from a gunshot wound to his head by a 22 semi-automatic.
Both the accused and deceased came from Lapaha.
No further details were available, as the matter is now with the courts.
