Limoni Tito Siasau was found guilty of serious indecent assault committed on a 33-year-old female worker on board a yacht in Vaipua, Vava'u.
Hon Mr Justice Niu in a verdict delivered this month convicted the accused of the serious offence, which was committed on February 20 last year.
This was after a trial held earlier this month at the Supreme Court in Neiafu.
The accused gave no evidence and called no witnesses. However, defense counsel submitted that the complainant and her husband fabricrated the story.
However, the judge after hearing all the evidence and the exhibits produced was satisfied beyond reasonable doubt, that the accused committed this serious offence.
He was convicted and will be sentenced on a date to be confirmed.
The accused was a local manager for this yacht.
