‘Ikale Tahi head coach to be announced next week [1]

A new Head Coach for the ‘Ikale Tahi will now be announced “probably next Wednesday”, confirmed Tonga Rugby Union CEO Peter Harding today.

The announcement was initially scheduled to be made today but due to the delay in legalities around the role, it has been deferred.

Rugby fans are keen to find out who will fill the role with international games already on the cards for this year including against Manu Samoa in July.

Filling the Head Coach role is just one of the many urgent tasks to be made under a Tripartite Agreement between World Rugby, Tonga Rugby Union, and the Tonga Government that was signed on 25 September 2020.

Selecting new TRU staff and reviewing the TRU constitution are among the urgent tasks.
