Three repatriation flights to Tonga are now expected to arrive on March 31 and April 1.

MEIDECC CEO Paula Ma’u said today, the repatriation flights from Auckland and Brisbane are planned for March 31.

A Fiji flight is now scheduled to arrive on April 1.

It is expected that the number of repatriates will be around 200 plus, which will fill up the 250 places available at local quarantine facilities.

“The next lot will be at the end of April,” he said.

Meanwhile, on Thursday March 25 more Tongan seasonal workers will depart from Tonga on a chartered flight to Australia.
