Victim hospitalised in machete attack [1]

A 26-year-old man from Lapaha remains hospitalised from injuries sustained from an alleged machete attack at Lapaha on Sunday morning, March 21.
Acting Superintendent Sisi Tonga said they had only just received the report of this offence and are investigating it.
It is alleged that the offence occured during a drinking party, where a 40-year-old man assaulted the victim with the machete, during a brawl.
The victim is in a stable condition at the hospital, he said.
However, no arrest has been made as the victim had not been able to give a statementt, since being admitted to hospital.
“We will arrest and charge the accused, we are just in the process of investigation,” said the Acting Superintendent.
