167 repatriates arrive from Australia and Fiji [1]

Repatriation flights from Australia and Fiji arrived in Tongatapu this afternoon with 167 passengers, confirmed Deputy Police Commissioner ‘Atunaisa Taumoepeau.
There were 90 passengers on the flight from Australia and 77 passengers on the flight from Fiji.
The flight from Fiji was chartered by the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, carrying Tongans who were in Europe, India and Papua New Guinea, missionaries of the LDS Church, as well as returning students.
Passengers who were transiting through Fiji were required to spend 14 days in quarantine prior to today’s flight.
The next repatriation flight is scheduled to arrive from New Zealand next Wednesday, 10 March.
