Repatriation flight arrives from NZ with 98 passengers [1]

Ninety-eight passengers were repatriated on an Air New Zealand flight from Auckland this afternoon.
MEIDECC CEO Paula Ma’u said today, the passengers included seasonal workers.
A second flight operated by domestic Lulutai Airlines is expected to arrive later this evening, with over 10 passengers from Fiji. They include consultants who were working on a Tonga Renewable Energy Project and other passengers. The cost of this repatriation flight is paid for by this project. All of the passengers will be quarantined at Tanoa Hotel.
The flight also took students and other passengers from Tonga on its outward flight.
Meanwhile, a repatriation flight with 120 passengers is being planned for Thursday, February 11 from Brisbane, Australia.
