238 passengers released after negative CoViD-19 tests [1]

The 238 passengers repatriated from New Zealand and Samoa on January 14 tested negative for CoViD-19 in their second and final test yesterday, confirmed Tonga's Chief Medical Officer (Public Health) Dr Reynold 'Ofanoa.
Repatriates, including Queen Nanasipau’u and Prince Ata, were released from quarantine late yesterday afternoon.
Dr ‘Ofanoa said passengers are required to spend a further 7 days in home quarantine for added safety.
The next repatriation flights are scheduled to arrive from New Zealand and Fiji on 4 February.
