Negative tests for repatriated passengers [1]

The 238 passengers who were repatriated from New Zealand and Samoa on January 14 are negative for CoViD-19 in their first testing.
MEIDECC CEO Paula Ma’u said today the results were confirmed over the weekend.
The passengers will be tested again at the end of their 14-day quarantine period.
The passengers are currently being quarantined at Tanoa Hotel and Makeke Camp in Vaini.
Queen Nanasipau’u and Prince Ata are among the quarantined passengers at the hotel.
Meanwhile, the next repatriation flight is being planned for early February from New Zealand.
