Tropical Cyclone Yasa slow-moving toward Fiji [1]

Weather watchers are following Tropical Cyclone Yasa [995hpa], moving slowly toward Fiji today, bringing thunderstorms and showers to the area. The Cat.1 storm is expected to strengthen over the next few days.

A weather bulletin Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 11:30am today, 14 December 2020 reported that Tropical Cyclone Yasa was located near 16.0S 172.0E or about 510km west-northwest of Viwa, Fiji, at 6am today.

TC Yasa is currently moving southwest at about 4 knots.

A image from Japan's Himawari-B Weather Satellite shows the large circular cloud formations over Fiji, Tonga, Samoa and Niue, today from the tropical systems, TC Yasa and TD03F.
