Nuku'alofa, Tonga

Tuesday, December 1, 2020 - 12:19

All repatriated passengers from Brisbane tested negative to CoViD-19, said Chief Medical Officer (Public Health) Dr Reynold 'Ofanoa this morning.

The passengers arrived on 24 November and are in quarantine at the Tanoa Hotel and Makeke Camp for 14 days.

They will be tested again for CoViD-19 on day 14 of quarantine before they are released to spend a further seven days in home quarantine.

Meanwhile, Dr ‘Ofanoa said there are plans for two more repatriation flights to Tonga this month.

One flight is from Auckland, New Zealand on 9 December, and the other from Fiji on 10 December.

Both flights are tentative at this stage, he said.
