Loader driver dies in Vava'u accident [1]

A 38-year-old year old man died while driving a loader in Vava'u on Tuesday, November 10.

Police in Nuku'alofa said today, it was reported that he was driving the loader on a steep road from Vaipua to Taoa. The loader suddenly stopped, believed to have been from mechanical failure.

Because the road is steep the loader slid backwards and crashed into a power pole, said police.

The deceased from Leimatu'a died at the site.
