Driver dies in Ha'apai road crash [1]

A 32-year-old Faleloa man died on Sunday, October 18 following a road crash in Pangai, Ha’apai.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Tevita Vailea, said today the deceased was the driver with two other passengers crashed into the Ha’apai High School fence, at around 8:40am yesterday.

The two other passengers sustained minor injuries and are recovering at the hospital.

Police allege that alcohol and speeding were contributing factors to the crash.

This is the fifth road fatality so far this year.
