Man convicted of meth offence [1]

Harris Satini (43) was found guilty at the Supreme Court last week for possession of 1.32 grams methamphetamine at Vaini.
Acting Justice Langi found the accused guilty of the offence and will sentence him on November 20.
The Crown submitted Police received reliable information regarding the accused and that he had illicit drugs at his house.
On October 5, 2018 at around 6:00am, the Police went to the accused's home in Vaini to execut a search warrant. The police officers discovered that the accused was not inside his house. Instead, there was a different family inside. The police officers woke the family and told them the purpose of their visit.
The father of the family, 'Aleki Cocker then told the Police that the accused was at their house next door, and that they moved into the accused's house after their house was destroyed by Tropical Cyclone Gita. He also stated that the accused stayed at their house because he was reconstructing it.
Police then moved to the house where they found the accused. They read him the search warrant and started the search. When searching the accused, Police found some suspected cannabis leaves, one packet of suspected cannabis and one suspected methamphetamine smoking utensil.
The Police Officers then searched the house where the accused stayed in, and found one packet of suspected methamphetamine and 27 suspected cannabis seeds.
They also found in the house some more suspected cannabis leaves, one suspected methamphetamine smoking utensil, and one suspected cannabis-smoking utensil.
The Police then moved and searched the accused's house, which was occupied by Aleki Cocker and his family. When they searched a room that belonged to the accused, they found another packet of suspected cannabis.
The overall quantity of the cannabis was 4.10 grams and 1.32 grams for the methamphatamine.
The judge in convicting the accused on possession of the meth, found him not guilty on another charge of possession of cannabis.
The accused had previous convictions.
