Trainee chefs take up Go Green Recipe Challenge [1]

Trainee chefs took part in the Tonga Youth Employment & Entrepreneurship 'Go Green Food Recipe Challenge' on Friday night, with Latai Fa'aoa of Team QSC winning the event.
In second place was Tauata Loto’aniu of Team Faua at the final night on September 25 at Taufa’ahau village in Nuku'alofa.
TYEE President, Lusia Latu-Jones said they encourage the use of local produce to develop healthy recipes.
“By participating in this event young people are given the opportunity to conceptualize, develop and introduce their talents, while gaining practical experience”, she said.
The Go Green concept was developed around waste reduction, affordability and sustainability with the intention to engage our young people and encourage them to make ethical and sustainable choices, and to develop entrepreneurial skills..
Together with TYEE Zumba the programme promotes a healthy lifestyle for young people.
Amelia Vallabh of Taufa'ahau Village, who partnered with TYEE on this initiative, which was supported by participants' families and friends.
