Seven men were arrested with methamphetamine at four different locations in Tongatapu in ongoing police operation targeting drug dealers and suppliers.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Tevita Vailea said today the Drugs Enforcement Taskforce seized 2.56 grams of methamphetamine, over $800 pa'anga cash and drug utensils.

The men were arrested at Mataika, ‘Utulau, Vaha’akolo Road and Hofoa during the operation on August 6-11. All have been charged with possession of the illicit drug.

"The community can help stop the availability of illegal drugs by reporting suspicious activity to Police. By working together, we can make a difference and stop the crime and social harm associated with this illegal activity,” he said.
