Webinar invites views on “Pacific Bubble” priorities [1]

The New Zealand Pacific Business Council will hold a free webinar tomorrow, Wednesday 5 August, to hear from a diverse range of speakers who will provide their views on the prioritisation of a Pacific Bubble.
“NZPBC welcomes participants from across New Zealand and the Pacific to come together to discussion the prioritisation of a Pacific bubble,” the NZPBC stated today.
Points of discussion will include;
- Benefits of having a Pacific Bubble and how it should be controlled
- Any potential drawbacks or hurdles that they envisage
- Why having a Pacific Bubble is important to NZ and the Pacific in the recovery of COVID-19
- The impact of COVID lockdown on the Pacific economy
Speakers include:
- Peter McGill, Chair - NZPBC
- Craig Strong, CEO - Investment Fiji
- Mick Cottrell, Manager, Network and Market Development on Auckland Airport’s Aeronautical Commercial team
- John Fiso, ONZM, Chair - Pacific Cooperation Foundation
- Fletcher Melvin, President - the Cook Islands Chamber of Commerce
- Dr Eric Crampton, Chief Economist - The New Zealand Initiative
“There will be an opportunity for interested people to post questions during the webinar or to send in your thoughts overall following the completion of the webinar,” PCBC stated.
