Body of second diver recovered [1]

Nukunukumotu Island.

The body of Ualeni Pomana (20) was discovered on Saturday morning, July 11 near Nukunukumotu Island, after he went missing for four-days at sea in Tongatapu.

A spokesperson from Tonga Police said today that the body was found by members of the Popua community, who assisted in the search.

He was one of two divers who went out diving for sea cucumbers near ‘Oneata Island, on July 6.

Both failed to return. Police started a search after being notified on that night. On the morning of July 7, the body of 'Iteni Latu (37) was first recovered.

Both men were from Patangata.
