The body of a 37-year-old man who was out diving for sea cucumber near ‘Oneata Island in Tongatapu was found this morning by Tonga Police. Another diver (20) remains missing at sea.

A spokesperson from Tonga Police said today, the two men from Patangata went out diving for sea cucumbers on Monday, July 6. 

At around 11:30pm last night, Police received a report and immediately launched a search at sea. However, at 9:00am this morning, one body was found.

The other diver was nowhere to be found. The Police search continues for him.

‘Oneata Island is situated near Siesia, Tongatapu.
