Three busted with illicit drugs [1]

Three men were arrested with illicit drugs at Patangata and Pili in a Tonga Police operation on June 16-17.
The Drug Enforcement Taskforce made the arrests at three different locations in these two villages, and seized 1.57 grams of methamphetamine, 8.01 grams of cannabis and drug utensils.
Acting Deputy Commissioner Tevita Vailea said today, these arrests targeted drug dealers and suppliers.
All three have been charged and will appear at the Magistrate’s Court on a date to be confirmed.
“Drugs have no place in our community, they destroy the lives of the users, harming our children and our communities.”
He urged anyone who has concerns about drugs related activity in their neighborhood to contact police at 22-784.
