Pacific Action website.

CoViD-19 information for people throughout the Pacific is being compiled by a new website that provides links to relevant articles on the virus.

PacificActions.com [2] was created by the Foundation of the Peoples of the South Pacific International (FSPI), a regional NGO, together with Webmedia South Pacific (WMSP), a Fiji-based Communications and IT agency.

The free platform aims to support all Pacific Island nations to better understand what we are facing and what we should do to best protect and preserve our families, our businesses and our way of life, said WMSP spokesman, Nathan Powell. A PacificActions.com mobile app is also available.

FSPI Senior Program Manager and Acting CEO, Ms Roshni Chand, said the Internet is already dominating the lives of Pacific Islanders.

According to FSPI and WMSP, since January this year, 68 thousand Internet users were registered in Tonga with Internet penetration at 65% while mobile connections were equivalent to 106% of the total population.
