Meth seized at Hu’atolitoli Prison [1]

A 37-year-old male prisoner was arrested with methamphetamine at the Hu’atolitoli Prison compound.

A Police spokesperson said today, during a routine inspection on April 13 by a prison officer, two packs were found on the prisoner weighing 0.17 grams. 

The Prison authority reported the matter to the Police.

The prisoner who is said to be from Lomaiviti has been charged with possession of the illicit drug. 

The Police investigation into drugs at the prison is continuing.
