CEO re-appointed for Public Service [1]

Dr Lia Maka was re-appointed as Chief Executive Officer for the Public Service Commission for a period of four-years, starting on March 16.
She is tasked with implementing government policies and decisions, managing the administrative, operational and broader functions and activities of the Commission.
In addition, she is expected to develop and lead programs to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of public service delivery outcomes.
Dr Maka was first appointed CEO on March 1, 2016.
She began her public service career in 1984 as an Assistant Teacher Graduate at the Ministry of Education, followed by senior positions. She also worked at the Secretariat of the Pacific Community in Fiji, as Head of a Community Development Program and Senior Technical Advisor in its education division.
