Drug dealers arrested after meth bust [1]

Methamphetamine and cannabis have been seized and three people arrested in Nuku'alofa by the Tonga Police Drug Enforcement Taskforce, in an ongoing operation targeting dealers, who sell drugs from their vehicles.
The three arrests were at different locations.
Deputy Police Commissioner Pelenatita Fe’ao Vaisuai said, a 32-year-old man at Tofoa was arrested on November 14.
Police seized an alleged 3.52 grams of methamphetamine, 3.14 grams of cannabis, drug utensils and over $1,000 pa’anga in cash from inside his vehicle.
On November 15, the Taskforce arrested a 34- year-old man from Mataika who crashed into a police vehicle, while attempting to escape.
Police seized an alleged 54.06 grams of methamphetamine; two live bullets, over $8,000 pa’anga cash and drug utensils from his residence at Mataika.
A third person, a 34-year-old woman, was arrested late at night on the same day from her residence in Pahu, with an alleged 6.81 grams of cannabis and drug utensils.
The accused have all been charged and are in police custody, while an investigation continues.
