Special public holiday for Tonga Invitational, now official [1]

A special public holiday for Tonga was this morning made official for Friday, November 15 to celebrate a Tonga's winning Rugby League team.
A press statement from the Prime Minister's office dated today, 12 November, said Cabinet had approved the special public holiday on November 11.
"This is in recognition of the outstanding and historical achievement made by the Tonga Invitational XIII Rugby League Team at the Oceania Cup 2019 against Great Britain Lions and Australian Kangaroos."
Government wanted the nation to celebrate the achievement, outstanding performance and the talents gifted to these Tongan players.
The public holiday which was declared unofficially on social media over a week ago has taken a long time to be made official.
