A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murder in relation to the death of a 19-year-old at Tu’anekivale on Saturday night, September 28.

The victim died after being rushed to the hospital for severe injuries, sustained during an altercation with others.

Police in Nuku'alofa today confirmed the accused remained in custody to appear in the Magistrate's Court in Neiafu on October 8.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was from Tu‘anekivale.
