Five men charged with the murder of Sione Feimoefiafi (49) in February this year remain on the Supreme Court's “no fly” list and are prohibited from travelling outside of Tonga.

Konai Bloomfield, Vilaketi Bloomfield, Sione Bloomfield, Siafa Nai and Tangi Tiufilusi Nai each charged with murder, had all appeared at the Supreme Court office in Nuku'alofa on September 30 to sign extensions to their bail.

The accused were granted bail by the Supreme Court earlier this year under strict conditions that included surrendering their passports to the Court and having their names added to the no fly list.

The Supreme Court confirmed today that the accused were all present yesterday at their office.

Their case had been called at Fasi Magistrate's Court and adjourned to October 14.

Although their case is still with the lower court, their bail is under the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court.

The victim, Feimoefiafi from Puke and Portland, USA, was visiting family in Tonga when this tragedy occurred on February 4.

He was fatally injured in a beating alleged to have been committed by the accused at and outside the Tali‘eva Bar in broad daylight in the Nuku'alofa CBD.
