Grandfather imprisoned for incest [1]

A five-years imprisonment sentence was imposed on a 66-year-old man who was convicted of iincest in Tongatapu.
Takapautolo ‘Epenisa was charged with three counts of incest, serious indecent assault and domestic violence committed on two female family members in 2015 and 2018.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced by Hon Mr Justice Cato on August 30, at the Supreme Court in Nuku'alofa.
Of the combined five years sentence, the judge suspended the final two-years. This was based conditions that the prisoner must not contact the complainants, must not commit any offence punishable by imprisonment during suspension, is placed on probation and must not reside in any location where girls or young women under the age of 18 live.
In addition, he was ordered to attend a correctional programme where directed by a Probation Officer, among others.
