Driver dies in Vava’u road crash [1]

A 49-year-old man died on Friday, August 23 after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a tree at Ta'anea.

Police today confirmed the deceased from Mataika was reported to have swerved and the vehicle crashed into the tree at around 6:45pm.

He died at the crash site.

Meanwhile, his two passengers sustained minor injuries.

A Police investigation continues.

This is the third road death recorded so far this year.
