Chinese nationals arrested for gambling [1]

Twenty-six Chinese nationals have been arrested for gambling after more than $89,000 pa’anga cash and other foreign currencies were seized at Tofoa, on Sunday, August 18.
Acting Commissioner of Police, Pelenatita Vaisuai said today, the suspects includes 17 men and nine women between the ages of 23 to 65-years-old.
The Police Drugs Enforcement Taskforce arrested them for playing games for money or other stakes at a building in Tofoa.
Apart from the cash, Police also seized five pistol air guns and illegal cigarettes, during this ongoing police operation.
The building where the games were held belonged to a 48-year-old Chinese national.
"All suspects are in police custody while investigation continues."
