A search has been called off for Marina Theresia Trost (43) from Germany, who went missing while diving off ‘Eua on Sunday, August 11.

Tonga Police today said there had been no sign of the missing woman. This resulted in the Police calling off the search on Friday, August 16.

Trost was reported to have been part of a visting group that were scuba diving inside the 'Eua cave called the "Cathedral", situated on the northern tip of the island.

She was an accomplished German jazz singer, who came to Tonga to make a documentary and sing with the sounds of the whales

Meanwhile, the Police investigation continues into the circumstances of her dive, and no charges have been laid so far.
