Cook Islands beauty wins Miss South Pacific title [1]

Miss Cook Islands, Miss Krystina Elizabeth Kauvai (19) was crowned, Miss South Pacific Pageant 2006 in Apia, Samoa, on Saturday night.
It was the second year in a row that the Miss South Pacific Pageant was won by a Cook Islands beauty. Last year's Miss South Pacific, Dorothea George, was also from the Cook Islands.
The first runner up for the 2006 Miss South Pacific title was Miss Samoa, Miss Poinsettia Mary Seleisa Taefu (21); the second runner up was Miss American Samoa, Miss Charity Apinery Gregory (19), and the third runner up was Miss Tonga, Miss Sina Uilani Nauahi (18).
The new Miss South Pacific is currently working as an accountant and administration officer with the Portcullis Trustnet Cook Islands Ltd. in Rarotonga, while studying part time for an Accountancy and Business Management Degree at the University of the South Pacific, Rarotonga campus.
