Mate Ma’a Tonga star centre Michael Jennings will miss out against the Kiwis this Saturday 22 June at Mount Smart Stadium, due to a knee injury.
Jenning’s absence will be mended by fellow star centre Solomone Kata and debutant Kotoni Staggs of the Brisbane Broncos.
Kristian Woolf in media statement today, "It is a shame to lose Michael because he has really been playing well for Parramatta. He has also brought wonderful experience to our side through the 2017 World Cup and in Tests last year. But we have some quality centres in our squad in Solomone Kata and Kotoni Staggs, so I know we can fill the hole left by Michael's injury."
The final team list will be announced tomorrow. To add to the drama, there is a possibility that Andrew Fifita may miss out on the test as he faces an NRL judiciary for dangerous contact on a player in an NRL game last week.
